Classes Continue

Two new classes have been scheduled. $15.00 each

I am having a new class this Wednesday, March 5, at 6:00. This week we will be using quilling strips to weave a basket and then weaving the strips to create a handle. (The following week we will be folding a basket since you shouldn't keep all your eggs in one basket.) This week we will also be making a 3 dimensional card holding a cross(created similar to a round braiding technique). This card will make a special Easter card or Sympathy card and later may be used as a home decor picture. It is hard to see the dimension here but the ribbon on the edge is 1/4 inches to give you an idea of the thickness. You will each get to keep a 5X 7 stencil with an ivy background.

The next class will be the following Wednesday, March 12, at 6:00. We will learning origami techniques. We will get our fingers limbered up by creating a couple of fold-a-lopes(letter and envelope in one) first. We will then do a simple basket and finish with a few mini tulips and a vase. The vase is challenging but we will give it a try.

If anyone is interested in origami boxes, there will be a class soon.

If anyone is interested in Sunday afternoon classes, please let me know. I am willing to do at least one a month. I would love to teach some more classes with Outlines Rubber Stamps--the new catalog is available.

Please post a comment on my blog so I know you're checking it out.

Class projects on the side of the blog

The class projects are posted at the side. The pictures below the posts are available as kits for purchase. Please let me know if you are interested.

I am designing my own stencils, stamps(foam and thin rubber), die cuts, etc. I will hopefully have a catalog showing the items in a few weeks for those interested.
I have started my class schedule. The classes cost $15.00 unless otherwise stated and includes all supplies except adhesive. If you like, please bring your favorite scissors or other basic supplies you might want. Please sign up 2-3 days before class so I can prepare the materials.

Class 1 is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21, at 6:00
Class 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 6:00
If the class times I have listed do not work out for you, let me know. I am willing to teach as long as I have at least two students.

I'm happy to say -- it sounds like Sunday, February 17 works out for most people. I hope the weather cooperates. We will be having a potluck about 1:00 so bring something if you want, but I'm sure there will be plenty of food. It would be great if you would bring some of your projects to share. Let me know what type of classes you're interested in and we can schedule some dates. I am looking forward to seeing you. I'm posting a few more cards for you to look at.
